We’re looking for a skilled and proactive IT Service Desk Team Leader to support and improve IT systems across the St Austell Brewery group.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the research and resolution of incidents and requests related to the use of IT software products and services across the business. From deploying, maintaining, and repairing key IT infrastructure to improving customer experiences, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our systems stable, secure, and responsive.

About You

  • Proven team leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop others
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical info for all audiences
  • Experience in 1st and 2nd line support roles
  • Sound understanding of client technologies and business systems software
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
  • Skilled at working independently and under pressure
  • Solid judgment and decision making ability, especially under pressure
  • Comfortable leading IT lifecycle management, from patching to upgrades
  • Familiarity with IT service management best practice (ITIL knowledge)
  • A customer focused approach

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting infrastructure in 1st to 3rd line roles
  • Networking qualifications (e.g. CCNA or above)
  • Server certifications (Microsoft, Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Project qualifications (PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server environments (including AD, Exchange, SQL)
  • Proficiency in virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS)
  • Understanding of telephony/VOIP and enterprise networking equipment
