POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Coffee / Multi-Site Head Barista is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of our coffee service. From recipe creation and quality control to team training and equipment maintenance, you will be the driving force behind our coffee excellence.

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in specialty coffee, strong leadership skills, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. You will play a key role in shaping our coffee identity, ensuring every cup served reflects our commitment to quality and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, train, and inspire baristas and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional coffee experience across all venues.
  • Develop and refine coffee recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and preparation techniques.
  • Implement and oversee barista training programs, covering espresso extraction, milk texturing, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and tastings to maintain rigorous quality control.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and skills development of new team members.
  • Oversee coffee equipment maintenance, servicing, and calibration to ensure peak performance.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and cost control to optimise efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure all coffee service areas adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance the overall beverage program and integrate coffee into wider menu offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new brewing techniques, and supplier innovations to continuously improve our coffee program.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Passionate Coffee Expert – Deep knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and industry trends.
  • Strong Leadership – Experience managing and developing high-performing coffee teams across multiple sites.
  • Service Excellence – A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
  • Operational Expertise – Proficiency in coffee equipment, stock control, and cost management.
  • Calm Under Pressure – Ability to handle high-volume service while maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Attention to Detail – A keen eye for quality, consistency, and guest experience.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written English, with the ability to engage and inspire team members and guests.
  • Industry Experience – Previous experience in a similar role within specialty coffee is essential.
