About the job

We are looking for a People and Culture Advisor (HR Advisor) to join our People and Culture team, based in our London head office. Reporting to the Regional People and Culture Manager (UK), the People and Culture Advisor will provide support and advice to the restaurant teams on all people-related matters across the London region. The People and Culture Advisor will also assist in developing innovative initiatives to foster a positive environment and culture within the Azumi group.


The role will be based in our Head Office in Fitzrovia but with significant support time in our restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be passionate about food and beverage and be confident in adopting our approach to face-to-face communication.


Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the smooth and efficient running of the People & Culture department, making sure all policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Be responsible for the maintenance, update, and changes of data on Fourth Hospitality and other internal systems
  • Support managers with all first-line employee relations matters, and escalate to the P&C Manager where appropriate
  • Organise and lead on ER matters such as investigations, disciplinary or grievance hearings
  • Liaise between employees, restaurant, and payroll regarding maternity, paternity and other family-friendly policies, ensuring data is accurate and employees are supported throughout
  • Use feedback and coaching appropriately to assist managers in addressing performance issues
  • Assist the Regional People & Culture Manager (UK) with ad-hoc project work, to include Learning & Development programmes and original and exciting engagement activities

  • Experience in the Hospitality / F&B sector (ideal)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with organisation, and prioritisation skills
