As we continue expanding nationwide, we’re looking for a driven, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead our team and deliver an elite guest experience every single day.


Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a critical leadership role in driving daily operations, developing team members, and supporting the General Manager in achieving financial and operational goals. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership on the floor, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering best-in-class food quality and hospitality.

The AGM is expected to lead by example, hold the team accountable, and ensure all brand standards are executed at a high level.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution

  • Lead day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, speed, accuracy, and cleanliness
  • Enforce all Houston TX Hot Chicken SOPs, food safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked restaurant at all times
  • Ensure proper execution of recipes, prep, and cooking procedures

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders
  • Uphold a culture of accountability, urgency, and respect
  • Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives exceptional service from entry to exit
  • Drive table touches and guest engagement in the dining room
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly
  • Reinforce FOH standards including greetings, menu knowledge, and upselling

Financial Performance

  • Support the General Manager in achieving labor and COGS targets
  • Drive sales through strong execution, upselling, and team performance
  • Monitor waste, portioning, and inventory practices
  • Assist in scheduling to meet business needs while maintaining efficiency

Systems & Accountability

  • Ensure completion of daily checklists, audits, and operational tools (Jolt, etc.)
  • Maintain compliance with health department and safety regulations
  • Support store readiness for audits, secret shops, and leadership visits

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience (Assistant Manager, Shift Manager, or similar role)
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, and guest service
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
