People Advisor – Hiddenwell

Hiddenwell is growing — and we’re looking for a proactive, people-focused People Advisor to support our teams at Ardencote and work closely with our Central Support team.

We believe great hospitality starts with great people. From the warmth of a welcome to the care shown in every interaction, our teams are at the heart of the experiences we create for our guests.

We’re looking for someone who shares that belief — an approachable, organised and solutions-focused People professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting managers and helping create a workplace where people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

The opportunity

Working closely with our People Lead, managers and employees, you’ll provide hands-on People support at Ardencote and across our wider business, helping deliver a consistent, positive employee experience.

From employee relations and recruitment to onboarding, performance and development, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact, ensuring our teams receive the support they need. You’ll also work with our Central Support team to deliver wider People initiatives and bring our people strategy to life.

Be approachable. Make a difference.

You’ll build strong relationships with employees and managers, providing practical advice on People policies, processes, absence and performance.

You’ll know when to take ownership and when to escalate sensitive matters to the People Lead, while proactively identifying issues and helping create a supportive workplace where people feel heard and valued.

Support every stage of the employee journey.

You’ll support key employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment and onboarding to promotions, changes and leavers, ensuring processes run smoothly and records remain accurate.

Working with managers and our Learning & Development team, you’ll also support performance reviews, training and development, helping our people build their skills and progress.

Create a culture where people thrive.

You’ll support employee engagement initiatives, gather feedback and help bring Hiddenwell’s values and behaviours to life.

Working with the People Lead, you’ll contribute ideas to improve the employee experience, support People communications and share insights that help strengthen our culture and retain great people.

Get the details right. Keep things moving.

You’ll maintain accurate People records and systems, support payroll queries and ensure processes are completed efficiently, accurately and in line with employment legislation and company policies.

With strong organisation and attention to detail, you’ll manage competing priorities across locations, handle confidential information professionally and keep the People Lead informed of activity, emerging issues and potential risks.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar generalist role, with a good understanding of employee relations and the confidence to support managers and employees through everyday People matters.

You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing different priorities and building relationships across teams and locations.

Most importantly, you’ll bring:

  • Experience supporting employees and managers across a range of HR/People matters.
  • A good understanding of employee relations, employment legislation and People policies.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across Ardencote and Central Support.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • Confidence handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance and employee development.
  • Good IT and administrative skills, ideally including experience with HR/People systems.
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for creating a positive employee experience.

A CIPD qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, would be beneficial, as would experience in a multi-site or operational environment.
