Director of Sales & Events / Banquet Manager

Job Summary:

NYC Skybar ( Hide Rooftop) located in financial district seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales & Events / Banquet Manager to handle sales and oversee banquet operations. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of banquet events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, event planning, and hospitality management.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies. Triple Seat
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Manage 3rd Party Sites – for Event and Lead Generation

Banquet & Event Management:

  • Oversee banquet operations, ensuring events run smoothly and exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team, event planners, and vendors to execute flawless events.
  • Manage banquet staff, including training, and oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor event setup, service quality, and guest satisfaction.

· Ensure that our premises are properly cleaned, organized and maintained in accordance with company standards and in compliance with corresponding regulations/authorities

Leadership & Administration:

  • Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to maximize profitability.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field background preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and banquet/event management within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of event planning software and CRM systems is a plus.
