WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

Our Pastry Team Members are true masters of their crafts. The quality and beauty of their creations are second to none. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confectionary execution of all cakes, pastries and desserts. Our ideal Pastrty Team Member will have a passion for decorating and producing cakes in order to bring a smile and satisfaction to our guests!

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support/Gathering information to develop store operation plans
  • Help administer new product launching, promotions and seasonal events.
  • Order merchandise and ingredients.
  • Daily / weekly inventory count
  • Learn and understand all company policies and provide suitable advice to employees.
  • Support manager to deliver any company wide communication to all employees.
  • Responsible for scaling, decorating, and producing of all Desserts, Pastries and Cakes
  • Good knowledge of production methods and organization of Confectionary production
  • Learn new products and skills and has ability to demonstrate proper techniques to new pastry team members
  • Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of work station
  • Must be able to manage time and skills with strong organization
  • Knowledge of all recipes and procedures of all production
  • Ensure cake display is presentable for internal and external guests
  • Make creams and sauces for cakes and pastries
  • Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
  • Inform General Manager when equipment is not working properly and manage when food supplies are getting low

Support Store Operation

  • Main contact for catering and special orders.
  • Daily inventory count.
  • Manage deliveries and inventory.
  • Regularly inspect store to assure standards are maintained at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Employee Management

  • Employee training: ensuring all employees are providing excellent guest service, being able to coach employees in a positive manner to improve.
  • Job delegation, enforcing duties as assigned.
  • Creating employee work schedule for final review by General Manager.
  • Initial claim issues, being able to report it to the right department.
  • Monitor, report, and take action on any incidents that occur.
  • Quality Control, Health Inspection, Inspection Checklist

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • 2-4 year of food handling experience.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skill
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Time management, ability to prioritize.
  • Proficient on Point of Sale systems, currently Toast.
  • Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible management style, with a successful record of accomplishment of managing senior operations leaders across a large geographically decentralized portfolio.
  • Passion for people! Dynamic and engaged leader who has a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating & developing team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment.
