Therapy Apprentice – Level 2 or Level 3

You’ll gain hands-on experience within our award-winning spa while studying towards a VTCT Level 2 or 3 qualification with Buxton & Leek College, learning from some of the best in the industry.

Your Role

As a Therapy Apprentice, you’ll learn how to deliver a range of professional spa treatments while providing outstanding guest care. You’ll develop your technical skills, product knowledge, and confidence, building the foundations for a rewarding career in beauty and wellness.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Participating fully in all aspects of the apprenticeship programme with University of Derby Buxton at Hoar Cross Hall
• Performing spa treatments to the highest standards once trained and assessed
• Completing lifestyle questionnaires and providing tailored aftercare advice
• Recommending retail products and treatment enhancements to guests
• Maintaining an exceptional standard of cleanliness and organisation in treatment areas
• Supporting the wider spa team with day-to-day duties, such as laundry and guest care
• Upholding excellent customer service and representing our brand with professionalism and warmth

The Apprenticeship Programme

• Qualification: VTCT Level 2 or 3 in Beauty Therapy
• Duration: 15–18 months
• Provider: University of Derby Buxton
• Location: Hoar Cross Hall Spa, with college tutors visiting the site for 2–3 days every 4 weeks
• Assessments: End-Point Assessment (EPA), practical assessments, and portfolio of evidence

Entry Requirements

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 9–4 (A–C)

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll have the skills and qualifications to progress into a qualified Spa Therapist role within our team. There may also be the opportunity, on completion of Level 2, to progress onto a Level 3 apprenticeship, allowing you to further develop your expertise and continue advancing your career in the spa and wellness industry.

• Working 5 out of 7 days per week
• Shift Patterns: 0930-1800hrs / 1030-1900hrs
• Hold the relevant Right to Work in the UK, not requiring future sponsorship
• Please note that due to the rural location and limited public transport links, access to a vehicle is essential for this role
• Hourly salary rate dependant on age: Under the age of 21 £10.85 per hour / Over the age of 21 £12.75 per hour
