About Honesty
Honesty Group is an independently owned hospitality business operating 13 sites across Berkshire and Hampshire - coffee shops, pub restaurants, and a cookery school. We have been building this business for over a decade on the belief that real food, served honestly, makes a genuine difference to the communities around us. Our brand reflects that - it is warm, considered, and consistent, and we take it seriously.
We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team and help us maintain and evolve that identity across everything we produce.
The Role
This is a full-time position working within our brand and marketing function, contributing to visual output across print, digital, and in-venue channels. It is an entry-level role in terms of seniority, but not in terms of responsibility. From the outset you will be working on live briefs that reach real customers across all of our sites.
You will report to the Creative Director and work collaboratively across the wider operations team.
Responsibilities
Across a typical month, your work will include designing and producing print materials - menus, event posters, seasonal campaigns, and point-of-sale assets - alongside digital content for social media, email, and our website. You will help maintain and develop our design system, keeping templates, brand assets, and guidelines organised and up to date. You will interpret briefs from across the business, asking the right questions and delivering work that is on-brand, on time, and properly finished.
As you settle into the role, there will be opportunities to take on greater ownership of projects and contribute ideas to how our brand develops.
What We Are Looking For
We are hiring on the basis of potential and attitude as much as experience. That said, we do need a few things from you.
You should be comfortable working in professional design software - the specific tools matter less than your fluency with them. Whether your background is in Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, Figma, or another industry-standard application, what we need to see is that you can produce polished, production-ready work. You should have a sound understanding of typography, layout, and colour, and a portfolio - however early in your career - that demonstrates you know how to solve a visual problem well. You will work closely with our print partners to ensure on-spec assets. Any animation experience/interest is also a bonus.
An interest in food, hospitality, and independent businesses would serve you well here. It is easier to design with conviction when you care about what you are designing for.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline is preferred, though we will consider strong portfolios from candidates who have come to the profession through other routes.
What We Offer
We believe in treating people fairly and creating conditions where they can do their best work. Alongside a competitive salary, you will receive:
Staff discount across all Honesty sites
A collaborative working environment with real variety in the work
The opportunity to grow within a business that values good craft
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Location: This is a remote position
How to Apply
Please send your CV, a portfolio or portfolio link, and a short note - in your own words - about why this role interests you to [email address]. We do not require a formal cover letter. We would simply like to understand a little about you and why Honesty feels like the right fit.
