At Honesty Group, we believe in keeping things simple: good food, honest ingredients, and welcoming spaces where people feel at home.
Across our cafés, pubs, and production bakery, we take pride in creating environments that feel warm, well cared for, and thoughtfully maintained. Behind the scenes, that means making sure our buildings, kitchens, and outdoor spaces are safe, practical, and running smoothly every day.
That’s where this role comes in.
We’re looking for a practical, reliable Maintenance Person who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in fixing things properly.
Our sites are spread across Berkshire and surrounding areas, including Slough, Windsor, Wokingham, Basingstoke, Newbury and Inkpen, alongside two gastropubs and our production unit in Newbury.
At Honesty, we put people first. That includes the people who keep our sites running.
You’ll work independently, but as part of a supportive team, helping maintain the places where our staff and customers spend their time every day.
This role offers variety — no two days are quite the same — and the opportunity to use a wide range of practical skills across multiple sites.
We’re also open to developing the role depending on the experience and interests you bring.
As part of the facilities team, you’ll help keep our cafés and hospitality sites safe, functional, and looking their best.
Your responsibilities may include:
You will report to our Facilities & Maintenance Manager and help triage and resolve maintenance issues across the group.
Who You AreYou may have experience in several of the maintenance areas listed above — or a strong general handyperson skillset with a willingness to learn.
Working PatternThis is currently a part-time role of around three days per week (approximately 22.5 hours).
We expect this to include:
• Monday
• Either Saturday or Sunday
• One additional weekday
However, we are open to discussing some flexibility in hours or working pattern for the right person.
TravelOur sites are spread across Berkshire, Hampshire and surrounding areas, so travel between locations will be required.
Initially this role will require use of your own vehicle, with mileage paid at 45p per mile.
A company van may be available in the future, depending on how the role develops.
We are open to this role being either:
• Part-time employed
• Self-employed (contract basis)
We’re always evolving as a business, and roles often grow alongside the people in them.
This position could develop into a broader facilities or maintenance role across the group as our sites continue to grow.
We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and respected.
We are age-inclusive, disability confident, and proud to build diverse teams.
