Part of Honesty Group – an independently owned food business in West Berkshire and North Hampshire, including Food & Coffee Houses, pubs, a cookery school, and a wholesale bakery.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team in Honesty’s Wokingham Food & Coffee House. With a vibrant, fresh menu and high-quality coffee, we pride ourselves on warm hospitality and food made with integrity. You’ll play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, managing the day-to-day operation, and inspiring your team.

Shift & Hours:

  • 37.5 per week - Off  (Sunday and Mondays)

Main Purpose of Role:

To oversee the smooth running of a busy Food & Coffee House, delivering exceptional food and coffee experiences in a warm, well-run environment. You’ll lead the team, manage service flow, and handle key administrative tasks including stock and rotas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations, set the tone for service and ensure a welcoming atmosphere

  • Supervise service of freshly prepared items such as smoothie bowls, pancakes, egg dishes, stuffed focaccia, toasties, soups, and baked goods

  • Train, support and guide Coffee Shop Assistants and Team Leaders on shift

  • Monitor and maintain food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards

  • Manage stock control: place orders, receive deliveries, rotate stock and check expiry dates

  • Create rotas to support service needs and meet labour targets

  • Handle opening and closing procedures, including cashing up

  • Complete daily food safety and temperature checks

  • Update menu boards and display counters with fresh products and specials

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the building and outdoor areas

  • Represent the brand and liaise with the Area Manager

  • Experience in a supervisory or team-leading role within a café, restaurant or coffee-led venue

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to lead by example and motivate others

  • A passion for fresh food and excellent service

  • Highly organised, confident in handling stock, rotas and service coordination

  • Flexible availability including weekends and bank holidays

  • A positive and professional attitude
