Join the Honesty Family – Cook (Wokingham)

Who We Are

At Honesty Group, we're not just another café.

We're a home away from home. Our spaces are built for regulars, dog-lovers, families, friends catching up, remote workers and everyone in between. We don't do gimmicks. Just good food, good coffee and good people.

Everything we serve is rooted in quality and honesty. From our handmade bakery products to our freshly prepared dishes, we care deeply about where our ingredients come from and how we bring them to life.

We're passionate about creating welcoming environments for both our customers and our teams.

Why You'll Love Working Here

We put people first – and that's more than just words.

You'll be joining a supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together. We believe in community, transparency and helping people grow.

Many of our supervisors, managers and chefs started in more junior roles and progressed through the business. We love developing talent from within.

Working Hours: 22.5 HRs (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

What You'll Do

As a Cook at our Wokingham café, you'll help bring our menu to life each day by:

  • Preparing and cooking fresh breakfast and lunch dishes to company standards
  • Supporting with daily food preparation and service

  • Working closely with the Front of House team to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Supporting with stock rotation, deliveries and ordering requirements
  • Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times
  • Assisting with cleaning schedules and maintaining a safe, organised kitchen
  • Contributing ideas for seasonal specials and menu improvements
  • Helping create a positive and supportive kitchen culture

Who You Are

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality kitchen
  • A genuine passion for fresh food and hospitality
  • A calm and organised approach, even during busy periods
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to learn, adapt and support those around you

Most importantly, you're someone who takes satisfaction in doing things properly and helping create an environment where both customers and colleagues feel looked after.

What You'll Get From Us

  • Full training and support
  • Free meal on duty
  • 20% discount across Honesty Group products
  • Discounted courses through our Cookery School
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the business

  • Part of our wider production or leadership teams

We believe in recognising potential and promoting from within.

Safety & Inclusivity
