Our Hotels
Hadspen House is a home away from home, consisting of 22 high-end bedrooms and stable yard suites with a front of house team working to deliver a seamless guest journey from pre-arrival to post-stay communications and interactions. Offering a unique dining experience, the Botanical Rooms is where we weave the narrative of the estate through dishes that exemplify our belief in quality, seasonal and local ingredients. We offer a true, farm to fork dining experience in a beautifully designed, atmospheric 60 cover restaurant. Alongside this, the bar, Croquet Room, and terrace serve seasonal cocktails and afternoon tea in the Library and Drawing Room.
The Farmyard is the newest addition to our Hotel offering at the estate. Housing a 17-bedroom hotel, with pool barn, games room, kitchen restaurant and bar. The food concept is rooted firmly in Somerset, but with influences from further afield, the kitchen at the farmyard will draw on the no frills, robust cookery. Its identity driven by location and season, with ingredients fresh from our gardens or locally sourced, ensuring quality and seasonality throughout our offering. Cooking in our wood fired oven is the focus of the menu. Open for breakfast through to dinner.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, this key senior management position will be responsible for the smooth running
of all the Food and Beverage operations within both hotel properties - taking
ownership on the ground to lead the operations teams. You will have great interest and enthusiasm for all things food and drink, and be keen to work operationally with the guests and lead from the front. You will focus on improving standards across the business, working with key stakeholders in and across a variety of departments. To promote and champion the highest level of luxury hospitality training and guiding the department managers to identify individual training needs for the team to help them perform to their full potential.
You will be analytical of operational standards with a fastidious eye for detail, analysing customer feedback and sales data providing a feedback loop that focuses teams on continuous improvement, ensuring consistent and faultless experiences for our members at every touch point.
You will be commercially minded and entrepreneurial being able to spot opportunities and act swiftly, you will be motivated by targets and be able to impart enthusiasm for sales on your teams, conversely you will also understand how to manage cost and control operational spending.
As with all our team members, you will be an Ambassador for The Newt – looking to build our reputation within the industry and the local area.
