SALES COORDINATOR

Part time - 16 hours

JOIN US

At RBH we believe our people are our biggest assets and understand the value in putting them first. Our approach to diversity in the workplace, health & wellbeing, sustainability and individuality sets us apart from our competitors and is one of the reasons we are rated Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality!

We are passionate about the industry and always on the lookout for new talent to join us on our journey.

OUR HOTELS

Hotel Indigo Dundee and Staybridge Suites Dundee are two unique IHG hotels located within Dundee’s historic Lower Dens Mill complex.

From boutique leisure stays and long-stay accommodation to corporate travel, meetings, events and dining, no two days are quite the same.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and personable Part-Time Sales Coordinator to join our Commercial Team and support the continued growth of both hotels.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll support a wide range of sales activity across both hotels.

This is a varied, people-focused role where you’ll help us build relationships with our existing clients, identify new opportunities and make sure enquiries and sales activity are followed up effectively.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Director of Sales with reactive sales activity.
  • Responding to and following up corporate, meeting, event and group enquiries.
  • Preparing proposals, quotations and sales correspondence.
  • Speaking with existing and prospective clients by telephone and email.
  • Researching local businesses, projects, events and potential new opportunities.
  • Supporting client appointments, hotel showrounds and familiarisation visits.
  • Maintaining accurate sales records and client information.
  • Helping coordinate sales campaigns and seasonal activity.
  • Supporting local account development and relationship building.
  • Liaising with Reservations, Revenue, Food & Beverage and Operations teams to ensure relevant information is communicated effectively.
  • Assisting with general sales administration and ensuring enquiries and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
  • Representing both hotels professionally and enthusiastically when communicating with clients and guests.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We recruit for personality and potential as much as experience.

Previous experience within hospitality, sales, events, customer service or a similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be friendly, confident and enjoy speaking to people.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be organised with good attention to detail.
  • Have a positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Be comfortable communicating by telephone, email and face-to-face.
  • Have good general IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to manage different tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently.
  • Have a genuine willingness to learn and develop.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, brings energy and personality to the role and is keen to develop their skills within hospitality sales.

WORKING PATTERN

This is a part-time role of 16 hours per week.

We understand that flexibility matters and are happy to discuss different working patterns to find an arrangement that works for both the successful candidate and the business.

WHAT WE OFFER

You will have access to a benefits package we believe truly works for our people and enhances our overall culture, including RBH hotel discounts, food and beverage discounts, an additional day’s leave for your birthday, employee wellbeing support and opportunities for learning and development.

This role also offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across hotel sales, events and commercial activity while working across two internationally recognised IHG brands.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

RBH Hospitality Management is an equal opportunity employer. We believe in hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive, people-first culture. If at any point throughout our process you require reasonable adjustments, please contact careers@rbhmanagement.com.
