As a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be the unseen hero behind the velvet curtain, keeping our hotel running flawlessly day and night. From guest rooms dripping in decadence to back-of-house systems that must never miss a beat, you’ll ensure everything works exactly as it should beautifully, safely, and without fuss.
Keeping the building, bedrooms, and back-of-house areas operating at House of Gods standards immaculate, seamless, and guest-ready at all times.
Carrying out preventive maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
Responding swiftly and discreetly to maintenance issues reported by guests or colleagues because magic should never feel interrupted.
Diagnosing faults, fixing what you can, and escalating when needed with clear communication to the Maintenance Manager.
Working closely with Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure guests never notice the work only the perfection.
Supporting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives without compromising luxury.
Keeping accurate records of works completed, inspections, and equipment servicing.
Playing a key role in refurbishments, upgrades, and improvement projects as we continue to evolve our spaces.
Following all health, safety, and security procedures, using PPE and safe systems of work at all times.
2–4 years’ experience in general maintenance, ideally within a hotel, hospitality, or high-end commercial environment.
Strong, hands-on knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
A natural problem-solver who thrives under pressure and takes pride in getting things right first time.
Comfortable reading technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
Physically fit and confident working with tools, ladders, and access equipment.
Calm, professional, and discreet — especially when working around guests.
Flexible with shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays hospitality never sleeps.
A trade qualification or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or similar.
Previous experience in luxury or lifestyle hotels.
Basic computer skills for maintenance systems, reporting, and email.
This is a hands-on role in a live hotel environment. Expect to be on your feet, moving between glamorous guest spaces and practical plant rooms, indoors and outdoors, in all seasons.
