2 Full-Time Positions (40 hours) - Shifts typically vary between 6:00 am – 11:00 pm.

Your country home away from home, nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Hertfordshire countryside. Sopwell House is a luxurious, family-owned Georgian country house hotel offering timeless elegance and modern comfort. We’re proud to be a place where exceptional service is delivered with warmth, pride and purpose. We’re currently looking for passionate Public Area Attendants to join our dedicated Housekeeping team.

Your role in our family:

  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, ensuring every guest area is immaculate and welcoming
  • Take pride in being part of our exceptional Housekeeping team, where attention to detail and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do
  • Take primary responsibility for maintaining public areas, including corridors, stairwells, and guest toilets, to the highest standard at all times
  • Support the wider housekeeping operation by stocking supply carts, assisting with deep cleaning projects
  • Play an important role in creating a memorable guest experience—because every detail matters

What would make you the perfect fit?

  • Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or similar role, with a strong eye for detail.
  • A good level of English, both written and spoken, to communicate confidently with guests and colleagues.
  • A naturally approachable and friendly manner – you enjoy helping others and creating a welcoming environment.
  • A true team player attitude, supporting and uplifting those around you.
  • The ability to work flexibly, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills – staying calm and organised even when things get busy.
