Department:                Housekeeping

Responsible to:           Head Housekeeper

Responsible for:         5 Star cleaning

Hours:                         Up to 45

 

Scope and general purpose: To ensure you are positive, productive, friendly fun and to ensure that you deliver a five-star housekeeping service in all areas of the resort. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guests & Quality

· Ensuring the removal of dirty linen/towels and the supply of clean linen/towels to the resort

· Assist with guest requests such as extra beds, pillows, and bathroom supplies.

· Assist with washing and ironing of guest laundry – Forbes standard

· Communicate with guests during their stay so their expectations are exceeded.

· Carry luggage to and from guests’ rooms as required.

· Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public areas.

· Set house fires and cottage fires and ensure enough logs and fire accessories.

Team

· Assist with the cleaning of team bedrooms for new arrivals and team areas

· Assist with the washing of team uniforms

Productivity

· Restock and replenish linen and supplies in the cupboards.

· Monitor linen stock and request orders to ensure the shift is efficient without running out of linen items.

· Count Linen and ensure the correct count is given to the laundry supplier.

· Organise and co-ordinate the distribution of laundry and linen around the resort

· Stock take linen and report any rejects, shortages or damaged linen to HHK.

· Follow all SOPs and checklists.

Health & Safety

· Ensure complete compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

· Follow all H & S guidelines as required and report near misses to HHK.

Sustainability & Environment

· Support the sustainability in your department in reducing energy consumption and wastage.

· Follow the sustainability policy.
