We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant to join housekeeping team at The Londoner 5-Star hotel.
Overview:
As a Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for collecting and returning all guest laundry/ dry cleaning to the room as well as staff uniforms to the allocated areas.
You will ensure that guest’s clothes are not damaged before they are sent outside for laundry or dry cleaning so as to inform the guest of any defects prior to being sent.
You will ensure the routine cleaning of all laundry equipment is carried out on a daily basis.
You will ensure the floors are free of linen, kept tidy and free from any trip hazards whilst working.
You will ensure all washing, drying, and pressing of all internal fabrics, soft furnishings, spa laundry amenities, bedroom laundry amenities, cleaning cloths etc. is carried out to the highest standard.
You will perform any ad hoc housekeeping duties as requested.
About You:
You will be fully aware of related Health and Safety procedures in your area.
Be familiar with chemical usage.
Understand manual handling procedures and be able to execute them confidently.
Have a good command of English and be able to communicate effectively with guest and fellow colleagues.
Have effective organisational skills and be confident in advising guests about The Londoners facilities.
Be an excellent timekeeper and the ability to work well with others in a team.
