We are opening a brand new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Sheffield! Expected to open late summer 2024 at Bramall Lane stadium, home of Sheffield United Football Club, the hotel will create up to 100 jobs and bring significant investment into the city.

What we're looking for:

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for impeccable cleanliness and exceptional guest experiences? As the Housekeeping Manager, we're in search of an individual who embodies organisational finesse, team leadership, and a sharp eye for detail. You'll be the linchpin, ensuring our guests step into perfectly curated and welcoming spaces. We value your ability to inspire and mentor a diverse Housekeeping team, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and order. If you possess exceptional communication skills, an aptitude for problem-solving, and a knack for motivating a team toward common goals, then you're the cornerstone we're seeking. Day in the life of:

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the housekeeping team to ensure we provide clean and fresh rooms to all our guests. They will be able to do this by being fanatical about delivering high standards when cleaning, and providing spotlessrooms and public areas. You’ll be making beds and cleaning bathrooms, reporting any damage whilst keeping yourself, the team, and our customers safe. You will also need to respond to guest requests.

Example Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage, train, lead and inspire the housekeeping team
  • Supervise the activities of all housekeeping staff to ensure clean, attractive and well-maintained guest rooms, corridors and service areas according to the standards required by the Hotel
  • Ensure clear lines of communication with the hotel management team and participate fully as a senior manager within the business
  • Where relevant support recruitment and associated procedures, including checking right to work documentation
  • Manage the process of authorised absence and ensure that at alltimes, the lack is covered without interruption to the business and smooth operation of the department
  •  Ensure all staff are fully conversant with health and safety policies and procedures and attend relevant training
  • Ensure that all statutory training records are in place, maintained and reviewed regularly in line with brand and company standards
  • Ensure all staff are trained regarding standards and productivity requirements and that concerns are addressed, and re-training completed if necessary
  • Take initial responsibility for managing and resolving any team member queries
  • Evaluate the performance of all team members under your direction, including conducting regular team member appraisals
  • Participate in and carry out various housekeeping inventories
  • Positively represent the housekeeping department in daily operations meetings and other meetings as required
