Housekeeping - Rothay Garden Hotel

Description

Who we are…

At Harbour Hotels, we create places people escape to—and remember long after they’ve left. Our collection of coastal, country and city hotels is built on individuality, style, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

At Rothay Garden, that experience is shaped by the beauty of the Lake District. Tucked away in the heart of the fells, surrounded by rivers, gardens and fresh mountain air, our hotel offers guests a true sense of calm, comfort and understated luxury.

As a group, we’re proud to do things a little differently—supporting our teams, encouraging personality, and creating environments where people can grow, not just work. It’s no surprise we’ve been recognised as AA Hotel Group of the Year—and we’re only just getting started.

The role…

We’re looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who takes pride in creating spaces that feel welcoming, warm and impeccably presented.

In a setting like this, the details matter. From the first impression of a bedroom to the quiet comfort of our public spaces, you’ll play a key role in making sure every corner reflects the standards we’re known for.

You’ll be:

  • Supporting, guiding and motivating the housekeeping team each day
  • Ensuring bedrooms and public areas are consistently clean, calm and guest-ready
  • Carrying out detailed room checks (both routine and spot checks)
  • Reporting maintenance issues and helping keep the hotel running seamlessly

You’ll need:

  • At least 2 years’ housekeeping experience
  • A natural eye for detail and high standards you won’t compromise on
  • A hands-on, team-focused approach
  • The ability to keep things running smoothly in a busy environment

What’s in it for you…

We believe that if you look after your team, they’ll look after your guests. It’s as simple as that.

When you join Harbour Hotels, you’ll become part of a supportive, ambitious group that genuinely values its people.

You’ll receive:

  • Excellent progression opportunities across our growing collection
  • Personalised development pathways to help you build your career
  • Competitive salary
  • Ongoing training and opportunities to move within the group
  • Hotel stays and food & beverage discounts across all Harbour Hotels
  • Access to a wide range of perks and discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme for extra support when you need it
  • A stylish boutique uniform
  • Meals on duty

Ready to join us?

If you’re someone who takes pride in high standards, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and wants to be part of something a little special in the Lake District—we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now with your up-to-date CV.

Please note: you must have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
