GENERAL ASSISTANT
Stoke-on-Trent | £13.45 per hour | 37.5 hours per week

Houston & Hawkes is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic General Assistant to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent.
If you enjoy working with people, take pride in delivering excellent service and love being part of a welcoming team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You'll be part of a busy workplace dining operation, helping us create a brilliant food and hospitality experience for our guests every day. From serving freshly prepared food and drinks to keeping our dining spaces looking their best, you'll play an important role in making every visit enjoyable.
THE ROLE
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly and professional approach.
- Assist with food and beverage service, ensuring great presentation and customer care.
- Support the preparation and replenishment of counters, displays and service areas.
- Help with basic food preparation and day-to-day catering tasks.
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately when required.
- Keep dining areas, counters and equipment clean, organised and ready for service.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a smooth service.
- Follow food safety, allergen and health and safety procedures at all times.

- A positive, approachable person who genuinely enjoys helping others.
- Someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
- A reliable team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, cafés or customer service would be welcome, but a great attitude is just as important.
