The Role…

Are you ready to bring your HR expertise to one of the most iconic, luxury coastal destinations in the South West?

This is a vibrant, hands-on generalist role where no two days are the same!

What You’ll Be Doing…

You’ll be at the very heart of our day-to-day operations, keeping HR running smoothly and acting as a champion for our team. Your day-to-day will include:

  • HR Hub Leadership: Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the HR office, including ordering and issuing our hotel uniforms with pride.

  • Absence & Employee Relations: Overseeing hotel-wide absence management and offering sound, empathetic guidance on Employee Relations matters to support our managers.

  • Welcoming & Onboarding: Supporting engaging staff inductions to ensure every new starter gets the warmest 5-star welcome.

  • Nurturing Next-Gen Talent: Leading and mentoring our vibrant Summer Placement and Student Placement cohorts throughout their journeys with us.

  • Brand Ambassador: Getting out and about! Representing The Headland at external events, recruitment days, and careers fairs to showcase why we are the employer of choice.

Our Ideal Candidate…

We’re looking for a people-person through and through—someone who pairs HR know-how with a genuine passion for hospitality!

  • Experience: You have around 1–2 years of HR-focused experience and are ready to take that exciting next step in your career.

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualified (or working towards it) is a great advantage, but your hands-on drive and attitude are what count most!

  • Skills: Excellent communication, a flair for organisation, and an approachable, proactive mindset.

What We Offer in Return…

  • A Worksite Like No Other: Work every day with breathtaking ocean views in an iconic 5-star setting.

  • Work-Life Balance: Standard contract offered is 40 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday, but we are open-minded! We welcome discussions around flexible working arrangements.
