What we are looking for

We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused Human Resources Executive to join our team at the Francis Hotel Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves making a difference, building strong relationships and creating a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support & Advice – Acting as an approachable and trusted first point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters, providing practical guidance on policies, employee relations, performance, absence, probation and wellbeing, and escalating matters appropriately.
  • Employee Relations – Supporting managers with employee relations processes, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, with guidance from the Regional People Manager and the Head of Hotels – People Operations and external HR support where appropriate.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding – Coordinating recruitment administration, including preparing job adverts, screening applications, arranging interviews and supporting managers throughout the recruitment process. Managing the onboarding process from start to finish to ensure new employees have a positive introduction to the business.
  • HR Administration – Managing core HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, probation reviews, changes to employment, leavers and maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
  • Payroll Coordination – Working closely with the Payroll Manager and Finance team to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, providing accurate information relating to employee changes, hours, absence and other relevant payroll data.
  • Absence, Holiday & Wellbeing – Supporting effective holiday and absence management, maintaining accurate records and helping managers to support employee wellbeing and attendance.
  • HR Compliance & GDPR – Supporting compliance with UK employment legislation, GDPR and internal HR policies and procedures, ensuring processes are applied consistently and confidentially across the business.
  • Learning & Development – Working closely with the Regional L&D Manager and Hotel Managers to coordinate and communicate training requirements, ensuring training is effectively actioned and employees have access to appropriate development opportunities.
  • Employee Engagement & Experience – Supporting initiatives that improve employee engagement, communication, wellbeing, retention and the overall employee experience, including organising staff engagement and wellbeing activities.
  • Culture & Values – Working in partnership with the Regional People Manager and the Head of Hotels – People Operations and wider management team to support a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism – Maintaining a high level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive employee and business matters.
