IXORA Hotel and Spa opened in December 2024 which forms part of Interesting Hotels Group, nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park, IXORA Hotel & Spa is your modern sanctuary for leisure and business alike. Surrounded by stunning panoramic mountain views and serene natural beauty, we offer luxurious accommodations, onsite dining, a fitness centre and tranquil Spa.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a reliable and friendly, dependable and customer-focused Night Porter to join our team. You will help ensure guests have a safe, comfortable, and pleasant stay during overnight hours. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, can work independently, and is comfortable handling a variety of overnight duties. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare all required meeting rooms and public areas to required setup standards as outlined on function sheets as per the company’s standard  and procedures
  • Prepare breakfast area and public spaces for the morning shift
  • Replenish supplies in public areas where required
  • Carry out cleaning duties including laundry room, back of the office, lobby, Restaurant/Bar, meeting rooms and reception areas
  • Basic housekeeping or maintenance duties if needed
  • Complete basic administrative and night audit tasks
  • Welcome late arrivals and assist with guest check-ins/check-outs
  • Respond to guest requests and enquiries during the night
  • Provide excellent customer service in a polite and professional manner
  • Assist guests with directions, local attractions, taxis, or basic hotel information
  • Carry out regular security and fire safety checks around the hotel
  • Monitor entrances, parking and public areas overnight
  • Report any incidents, disturbances, or maintenance issues
  • Ensure hotel health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Record important information for the morning team
  • Clean meeting rooms to a high standard.
  • Work closely with reception, other front of house department and management to ensure smooth hotel operations 

Requirements

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work night shifts independently
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous hotel, hospitality or customer service experience
  • Work in a similar busy environment
  • Must have right to work in the UK
