Job Purpose

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Receptionist, where your energy and enthusiasm will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing friendly, efficient service that makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Your multitasking skills and hospitality expertise will ensure smooth check-ins, seamless communication, and a warm atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills within a vibrant, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
  • Manage guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Assist guests with reservations, room assignments, and special requests to enhance their stay experience
  • Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest check-outs efficiently while processing payments and resolving any billing issues promptly
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs swiftly and effectively
  • Maintain organised records of reservations, guest preferences, and communication logs in compliance with hotel policies

Experience

  • Proven experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is highly preferred
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse guests are a strong advantage
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for all visitors
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest information
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest services best practices
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively setting while maintaining professionalism
