We launched in 2007 with the mission to offer a more unique, stylish and personalised gifting solution under the banner ‘why send flowers when you can send Biscuiteers?’ Every single biscuit is lovingly made from start to finish and each one is totally individual.

In 2019, we opened the Ministry of Biscuits – a brand new purpose-built production space in Wimbledon, London. It is here where the biscuit and patisserie magic happens. Now delivering to over 193,000 customers in 117 countries, our Production team will dispatch over 150,000 orders this year. We’re on the hunt for self-motivated and hardworking individuals who thrive in a creative and dynamic environment.


Who we’re looking for…

We are now looking for a Patisserie Assistant to join our small, dedicated team at our Ministry of Biscuits in our Colliers Wood, to help produce our ever popular patisserie selection, which includes our Afternoon tea, Cakes, Cupcakes and Macarons. We have a number of high profile and exciting projects coming our way. Please note this is kitchen role that requires some experience in this field, although some training will be given.


Successful applicants will report to our Bakery and Patisserie Production Manager and work closely with our Patisserie Team Leader. You will work full time hours between 7.00-4.00pm mainly between Monday to Friday, although we ask for the flexibility to work longer hours and some weekends at peak times. 


  • You will work well as part of a team to ensure daily patisserie targets are met.
  • Play a key role in supporting with the production of all our Patisserie product range, this includes our mince pies, macarons, cakes, cupcakes, Christmas cakes, shortbread and Afternoon Tea.
  • Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support in all areas of the patisserie team as required with regard for our high standards in H&S and food safety.
  • Bring lots of other great skills such as pastry, team-working and time management

 

 

You will need...


  • Good Knowledge or experience of pastry skills.
  • We are looking for pastry or cake making skills and and experience.
  • A pastry qualification such as City & Guilds or equivalent is preferrable although not essential.
  • To be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be able to work quickly and methodically, with close attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a professional bakery would be preferable but full training will be given.
  • Qualifications in Health & Safety and Food Safety would be an advantage.
  • A positive proactive approach.
  • To enjoy creating delicious products and a love of all sweet things is a must!
