Ida Claire is searching for our next great Service Manager to join the Ida Claire Family.

 

Creating authentic hospitality experiences for Team Members and Guests is the mission of our Service Managers at Ida Claire. The Ida Claire Service Managers are relentlessly focused on cultivating a team and atmosphere, providing every Guest with a memorable experience to keep them coming back for more.  They aspire to run the perfect shift by planning and executing with determination and drive. They know that the guest experience will never exceed that of their teams' experience.  They prioritize their teams' training, coaching and development. A love of southern inspired food, creative cocktails, and the best spirits in the world are a plus.  Our ideal Ida Claire Service Manager has 2-4 years of high-volume restaurant experience.

A Service Manager at Ida Claire is a(n):

Business Driver

  • Drive top line sales performance by delivering stellar experiences, community partnerships, and leadership throughout the restaurant
  • Control costs by managing controllable expenses using the systems put in place to successfully manage them
  • Ensure proper labor management through accurate schedule writing, adjusting weekly for changes in sales forecast, event knowledge and weather
  • Maintain a safe, well-manicured restaurant, as pristine and organized behind the scenes as it is for the guests

Experience Curator

  • Prepare and communicate a plan each shift with their team to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks before they arrive
  • Engage guests with a “welcome to our home” mentality to ensure a personal connection to Ida Claire and a top-notch dining experience
  • Possess a near obsessive need to correct any mistakes or flaws in the guest experience, always personally handling any issues that arise
  • Partner with the Culinary Team to deliver an exceptional experience both during everyday dining and special events
  • Execute unique Ida Claire experiences through live music, a welcoming atmosphere, and one of a kind service

People Champion

  • Hire, train and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Ensure team members have the knowledge, tools and resources needed to be successful in their roles
  • Participate in orientation and onboarding process for all new front-of-house team members
  • Create a culture that draws potential new team members in and allows them to be their best at what they do
  • Hold front-of-house team to the highest of standards through consistent coaching and feedback

AOR Master

  • Own their designated Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and set standards of shift performance
  • Oversee all AOR scheduling, training & development, one-on-ones, and specialized tasks, celebrating wins and redirecting results as needed
  • Participate in all manager meetings with AOR updates including hiring needs, team performance, wins, and opportunities for improvement

  • knowledge of Hotschedules and/or Decision Logic a plus
