Position overview:
To pamper our guests and build meaningful relationships with them with a view to better understand their preferences
Continually seek ways to improve the quality of hospitality and service provided to our guests
The Senior Sommelier is required to assist the Head Sommelier in achieving the department targets
Stay aware of the competition and new trends on the market. New information should always be discussed and shared with the team
Conducts periodic inventories along with the Assistant Head Sommelier to prepare the orders to replenish par stocks
Controlling and analysing the quality of the wines on offer and of the wine cellar in general
Be able to answer questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage and style of various wine
You will provide a courteous, professional, attentive and efficient service at all times with all departments and customers
To well establish a good rapport and working relationship with all staff and all other departments
Know to read and understand the guest’s needs and limits to offer the best ability on assisting guest wine preference
