The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Waiter / Waitress to join our award-winning Front of House team.

This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury dining environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As Head Waiter / Waitress, you will take ownership of your section, lead service with confidence, support junior team members, and ensure every guest receives attentive, personalised service throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your section, ensuring exceptional service from arrival through to departure.
• Deliver warm, professional, and personalised guest service at all times.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the food, wine, cocktail, and beverage menus.
• Guide guests through the menu, making knowledgeable recommendations tailored to their preferences.
• Coordinate service within your section, ensuring food and beverages are served accurately and efficiently.
• Lead and support Commis Waiters, Food Runners, and junior team members during service.
• Work closely with management and the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication throughout service.
• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, and table set-up.
• Resolve guest requests and concerns professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• Follow all food safety, licensing, hygiene, and Health & Safety procedures.
• Support the wider restaurant team to deliver an outstanding luxury dining experience.

About You

• Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter, or Waiter within a luxury restaurant, fine dining venue, or five-star hotel.
• WSET Level 2 Award in Wines (desirable).
• Excellent food, wine, and beverage knowledge.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support junior team members.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts.
