About the Role:

As a Shift Leader at Jersey Mike’s in Dedham, you’re not just helping make the best subs in the game—you’re guiding a team, creating an upbeat and efficient work environment, and most importantly, ensuring every customer leaves feeling better than when they walked in.

We're looking for high-energy, positive leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering next-level customer service—with a smile. Every interaction matters, and our goal is to make each visit memorable.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer First, Always: Ensure every guest receives top-tier service. Greet everyone with a smile, listen to their needs, and go above and beyond to exceed expectations. The sub is important—but the experience is everything.

  • Team Leadership & Delegation: Motivate, direct, and support your team to keep the line moving and the store running smoothly. Know each team member’s strengths and put them in the best position to succeed.

  • Store Closing Duties:

    • Ensure every surface is clean and sanitized.

    • Properly shut down kitchen equipment and secure the store.

    • Count drawers and safe accurately, documenting totals with integrity.

    • Organize and prep for the next day to set the morning shift up for success.

  • Efficiency with Accountability: Monitor performance, communicate clearly, and jump in wherever needed. Keep your team focused, efficient, and positive.

  • Uphold Our Standards: Maintain our high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and speed of service. A clean store is a happy store!


Training & Growth Path:

At Jersey Mike’s, we train from the ground up.

Everyone starts as a Sprinkler—you’ll learn to top our subs with precision, care, and flair. From there, you'll be trained in every other position step by step: bread, meat slicing, grill, register, etc.

With each position mastered comes a small pay raise—we reward growth, effort, and mastery. If you’re committed and consistent, there’s a clear path to even higher leadership roles.

Qualifications:
  • Prior restaurant or food service experience is a plus

  • Leadership or shift supervisor experience preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
