Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager in Shorewood, WI to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. The General Manager will be responsible for creating a positive work environment while driving profitability and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
  • Control inventory levels and manage ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Utilize POS systems for cash handling and transaction management.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans to achieve profitability targets while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices.
  • Experience with inventory control systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Familiarity with fine dining, casual dining, quick service & fast food environments is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff through training & development initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  •  Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler
  • Must have reliable transportation
