We’re looking for a motivated leader who’s ready to build culture, bring great energy, and grow into running a store. If you’ve got years of management experience, strong people skills, and a passion for leading teams, this is your chance.You'll train alongside experienced managers, move into a leadership track, and then step into managing your own store. We’ll teach you subs – you bring the personality, leadership, and drive.

We are looking for good people to grow our business with. We can train you on the day to day operations. Motivated individuals can learn almost everything about running the sub shop in a few months. Jersey Mike’s is a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with over 3,000 locations across the nation. With a rich history dating back to 1956 at the Jersey Shore, we pride ourselves on serving authentic East Coast-style subs made with fresh baked bread and a commitment to community involvement.

Summary

As a Manager in Training at Jersey Mike's, you will be instrumental in learning the operations of our fast-paced environment while preparing for a management role. This position is vital to our mission of delivering high-quality subs and exceptional service while fostering community relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
  • Train and develop team members in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
  • Support inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Help create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Monitor sales performance and assist in implementing strategies to achieve targets.
  • Engage with customers to enhance their dining experience and address any concerns.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to strengthen local relationships.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is preferred.
  • Strong staff training capabilities with a focus on development and mentorship.
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Excellent supervisory skills to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary practices is beneficial.
  • Experience with POS system is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to manage inventory control processes efficiently.
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and community involvement.
