Morning Opener / Shift Leader

We are looking for the next ROCK STAR to join our family at Jersey Mike’s Subs!

PG1 Restaurants is looking for a reliable, energetic, and hardworking team member to join our Jersey Mike’s team in Staunton, VA.

If you take pride in doing things the right way, leading by example, and helping others succeed, we want to meet you!

• 6:00 AM start time

• Get the restaurant 100% store-ready by 9:59 AM

• Bake fresh bread and prepare fresh ingredients

• Set up the line, registers, dining room, and workstations

• Complete opening checklists and food safety temperature checks

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and Jersey Mike’s standards

• Must be available to work all shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Lead and support the team throughout the shift

• Keep the team organized and focused during busy periods

• Follow and uphold company policies, procedures, Core Values, and operating standards

• Hold yourself and the team accountable to the standard

• Ensure every sub is made correctly, including Mike’s Way

• Maintain food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest service

• Support labor, cash, inventory, and shift goals

• Coach and mentor team members

• Handle guest concerns professionally

• Lead by example and protect and promote our culture

• Reliable and dependable

• Strong attendance and punctuality

• Positive, energetic, and organized

• Willing to lead by example

• Coachable and willing to learn

• Restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required

• Paid training provided

• Must be 18 years or older to operate the mechanical slicer required for this position
