Jamavar is seeking an experienced and passionate Floor Manager to join our exceptional management team in the heart of Mayfair. This is an immediate start opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives on delivering outstanding service, leading by example, and creating memorable guest experiences.

The Role
As Floor Manager, you will support the senior management team in ensuring excellence across service, product knowledge, cleanliness, and team performance. You will be highly visible on the floor, confident in decision-making, and proactive in maintaining the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities Service & Training
Ensure consistently high service standards across all services
Be fully aware of bookings and any special guest requirements
Organise and manage the floor before and during service
Train, guide, and support new starters
Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when required
Take cash and card payments and confidently complete cash-up procedures
Maintain strong knowledge of table numbers and floor layout
Brief the team before each shift
Product Knowledge
Attend all compulsory staff meetings and training sessions
Maintain excellent allergen awareness
Maximise sales opportunities through confident recommendations
Demonstrate knowledge of the restaurant’s history and artwork
Possess basic wine and cocktail knowledge
Use EPOS systems (Tevalis) confidently
Health & Safety
Ensure all licensing laws and company policies are adhered to, including underage drinking
Act immediately on any health and safety hazards (e.g. spills, trip hazards)
Escalate unresolved issues promptly to management
Be responsible for weekly fire alarm checks
Promote a safe environment for guests and colleagues at all times
Cleanliness & Shift Organisation
Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of all sections
Ensure all areas are fully set for service and closed down correctly
Maintain impeccable personal hygiene, uniform, and appearance standards for self and team
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to daily and weekly checklists
Stock & Operations
Manage inventory
Order utensils and support other operational requirements as needed
