Jams Restaurant at 1 Hotel Central Park led by James Beard award winning Chef, Jonathan Waxman, is seeking passionate and enthusiastic line cooks, with endless curiosity and love for the fast-paced restaurant industry, to join our team.
Based on the model of “California Cuisine”, stylistically our cuisine is a vibrant eclecticism that is rooted in cultivating a safe relationship with the environment, with a committed focus on local, sustainable and organic seasonal produce that does not use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides or gmos; meat, fish and dairy that is locally sourced and humanely treated pasture-fed, all purchasing honoring sustainability.

Line Cooks must ensure all food safe methods are practiced, and systems are implemented to ensure all culinary prep and execution is of the highest level. Ideal candidates have 2+ years cooking in a fine-dining restaurant, open availability including nights and weekends, and a passion for genuine hospitality and serving others.
