JOB SUMMARY

The Store Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the store’s physical assets, equipment, and facilities are in safe, clean, and fully operational condition. This role supports daily store operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Store & Facility Maintenance

  • Perform routine inspection of store facilities (dining, kitchen, storage, exterior areas)
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and functionality of all physical areas
  • Conduct minor repairs (e.g., plumbing leaks, lighting, fixtures, doors, tiles)
2. Equipment Maintenance

  • Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment (e.g., fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers)
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with accredited vendors for major repairs
  • Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently to avoid downtime

3. Preventive Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance checklist (weekly, monthly)
  • Maintain logs of maintenance activities and completed repairs
  • Proactively identify potential issues before they escalate

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (e.g., OSHA, local codes)
  • Immediately report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment failures
  • Support implementation of safety programs and store audits

5. Vendor & Repair Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating with third-party service providers for major repairs
  • Monitor work completion and ensure quality of vendor services

6. Emergency Response

  • Respond promptly to urgent repair needs (e.g., equipment breakdown, electrical issues)
  • Minimize operational disruption through timely intervention 
  • Support minor renovation projects (e.g., repainting, rearranging fixtures beyond routine maintenance)
  • Provide general cleaning support during peak hours or manpower shortage
  • Assist in delivery unloading or movement of supplies/equipment
  • Participate in store opening or closing activities not directly related to maintenance
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing maintenance records or encoding reports
  • Accompany or assist vendors/contractors beyond coordination (e.g., carrying materials)
  • Take part in company events, meetings, or training sessions

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Experience

  • At least 6 months–1 year maintenance or handyman experience (QSR/retail preferred)
  • Ability to use basic tools and maintenance equipment
