Description
Jones Wood Foundry is seeking a full time Maitre d' with New York City experience to work in our established Chef owned British food driven gastro pub. Jones Wood is both a favorite neighborhood & destination restaurant. This position requires flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays. Our Maitre d' position is not a position at the host stand or related to hosting, however, engaging with our guests and providing the leadership and support for the dining staff are essential to this position!
Requirements:
● Basic wine knowledge
● 3+ years of FOH experience in a full service restaurant, and the ability to motivate your team
● Familiar with Yelp Reservations
● Personable, outgoing, and an energetic team player
● Ability to work well with the team while creating a positive work environment
● Excellent verbal, written and computer skills
● Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve effectively in a high-speed environment while maintaining composure and control.
