Do you have an passion for great customer service, or an obsession with quality, all the way from prep to plate?

JPRestaurants have four restaurants (Banjo, Oyster Box, and two Jersey Crab Shack restaurants) on the island of Jersey (Channel Islands, British Isles); we recruit all year round, and are always keen to hear from front-of-house staff and chefs who are passionate about what they do.

As a company, we look for hard-working, friendly, and personable team members, who are passionate about customer service and maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene. For senior roles, experience in a fast-paced environment is essential, as is the ability to quickly learn menus, new recipes and work to spec. For junior roles, we look for real motivation and a willingness to learn.

What we offer:

JPRestaurants offer full-time roles, with salaries starting at £25,375 for a 40-hour-per-week contracts, ranging to in excess of £50,000 for our most senior positions.

For our full-time 40-hour-per-week contracts, all overtime is paid, and employees in our restaurants participate in our Team Incentive Scheme, with bonus payments of up to 10% (or more) of salary dependent on restaurant trade, seniority, and individual performance.

Our management participate in our Quarterly Bonus Scheme.

Our employees also have access to a generous benefits package, including:
• Meals provided while on duty
• Staff discount across our restaurant and café businesses
• Christmas Day and Boxing Day off

Our restaurants offer premium-casual dining experiences in unique and captivating settings: Oyster Box, on the edge of St Brelade’s Bay, Banjo, a grand brasserie in the heart of St Helier, and our Jersey Crab Shack restaurants (one a few steps from the beach on St Brelade’s Bay, one overlooking the Royal Bay of Grouville). Our Café Ubé outlets (located at Jersey Airport, Elizabeth Ferry Terminal, and across St Helier) serve a range of coffees, hot and cold drinks, and fresh and homemade Grab & Go breakfast and lunch items.

We offer fantastic choice for customers with allergies and dietary requirements, and provide our teams with detailed specifications and information for addressing queries. Across all of our restaurants and cafes, we’ve placed an emphasis on digitalisation and processes, in order to enhance our customers’ experience, ensure our service runs smoothly, and build a better working environment for our colleagues.

JPRestaurants has over 75 years of history, starting in 1946 as a small, family-owned pottery studio which become one of the Island's busiest and most popular tourist attractions. The coffee bar on the site of the ceramics factory and showroom was the beginning of Jersey Pottery Restaurants (which is now called JPRestaurants), which is still family-owned and managed by the third generation. As an established and popular local business, we look to work for the benefit of our community and environment through careful management of our suppliers, good working conditions, and initiatives to support others less fortunate than us.
