Role – Bar Supervisor / In-House Trainer (Bar)
Pay - £13.50 per hour
Hours – Full-Time availability required (your normal shifts plus additional training shifts as required)
Travel required - Approximately 2 to 3 times per year for training & new site openings.
An exciting opportunity has arrived for any Bar team member looking to take the next step in their hospitality career. Our Bar Supervisor will be taking on more responsibility and using their existing knowledge and skills to assist with leading the team. We are looking for a passionate, committed and self-motivated individual ready to take on a new challenge.
As an In House Trainer (Bar) you will lead and conduct Bar training for existing team members and new starters. This role is designed to set the standards of consistent working practices across all sites whilst providing career development opportunities to our teams. As an In House Trainer, you will still be adhering to your role as a Bar Supervisor whilst in addition, carrying out team training on certain shifts.
This is an ideal role for any current full-time Bartenders looking to develop within the company, within the hospitality sector, or to learn new transferrable skills to shape the rest of their chosen career.
All training for the position will be provided (such as ‘train to train’) and you will be supported by your Assistant General Manager and our L&D Manager, Leigh Carroll.
In House Trainer Responsibilities:
· Deliver initial and ongoing training to all team members as part of ‘Junkyard Training Club’
· Set brand standards and model excellence for new starters
· Mentor and support new starters in their training period
· Identify development areas and improve performance of the team
· Work closely with managers and other supervisors to manage the departments
· Create resources and content for training
Bar Supervisor Responsibilities
· Supervise the bar team & oversee the operation of the bars
· Deliver outstanding guest experience and providing a unique customer journey
· Oversee set-up/break down
· Manage guest complaints
· Manage cleaning, due diligence and food safety
· Schedule breaks
· Deliver training
· Assisting with bar stock audits, line counts and stock rotation
· Hold Supervisor meetings
· Deliver an outstanding guest experience and providing a unique guest journey
