Description

Welcome to KFC Youth Foundation.

The KFC Youth Foundation is the corporate foundation that was setup in 2015 and is financially supported by KFC UK&I. The KFC Youth Foundation is a charity.

Since its inception the KFC Youth Foundation has made donations and grants of more than £9m. In 2021 we became a community grant maker, offering grants of up to £2,500 to grass roots organisations working with young people in their communities. Organisations who share the passion we have for developing young people. Since setting up the programme we have made grants to a value of £351,570, supporting 10,271 young people.

Our mission is to empower young people in the UK to fulfil their potential by providing safe spaces, helping them to unlock talent, build life skills and provide mentoring to help them build a positive future

Bringing it to the role.

The KFC Youth Foundation was founded in 2015 and is transitioning to being a service delivery organisation. A key part of this is going to be bringing the KFC flagship employability programme Hatch under the Foundation.

Hatch is an employability programme that provides workshops and paid work experience placements for young people aged 16-25 who are not in education, training or employment or are at risk of being so, with the aim of building their confidence and skills to get their first job.

The Employability Programme Co-Ordinator will act as the key link between local youth organisations, which recruit and support young people, KFC restaurants and other work experience providers where participants will gain work experience. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of the programme, facilitating communication, and ensuring that both young people and employers have a positive experience. The co-ordinator will oversee the programme’s implementation, ensuring it meets both the needs of the youth participants and the operational requirements of employers.

What you’ll do

1. Programme Co-ordination and Delivery

  • Be the main point of contact between local youth organisations, franchise partners, KFC restaurant teams and other employers to ensure seamless delivery of the recruitment, employability training and work experience placements for young people.
  • Logistical organisation of restaurant training for any delivery partners on the programme.
  • Troubleshoot in partnership with Head of Employability, any issues that arise during placements, acting as a mediator between employers and youth organisations to address challenges swiftly.
  • Ensure the programme is on track, targets are met, and that budgets and deadlines are kept to.
  • Facilitate and host face-to-face and virtual training sessions for local youth organisations and restaurant teams throughout the programme.
  • Conduct visits nationally to our local youth organisation partners and a selection of employers that are on the programme.

2. Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local youth organisations and employers to foster effective collaboration.
  • Regularly engage with local delivery partner staff to ensure participants are receiving the necessary support and pastoral care while on the programme.
  • Work closely with employers to ensure they have the tools and understanding needed to support young people during their placements.
3. CRM and data management

  • Ensure the CRM system remains up to date, secure, and functional, managing upgrades, troubleshooting, and day-to-day maintenance.
  • Establish and oversee data entry standards to ensure consistent, accurate, and complete information is captured across all programme participants and activities.
4. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Create regular reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), programme outcomes, partners and participant progress, ensuring that insights are used to inform decision-making.
  • Work with the Head of Employability to use data insights to produce high-quality reports, case studies, and presentations for funders, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Support all parties in understanding and using our CRM system during the programme and be responsible for regularly gathering and updating the data to track progress.
