Kavasutra kava bar is a fast growing company. With 5 locations in Florida, one in Denver Colorado and one in New York City.

We are a high volume establishment. We are looking for employees who can work in a high pace environment. We are also looking for employees who would like long term employment. The atmosphere resembles a bar, yet we have no alcohol. Which is different from what most are used to.

Kava is a root from the South Pacific Islands. it is non alcoholic. And we do not serve food. This is a very high volume location with a small buildout in a great location.

We need employees who can not only get the job done in excellence but employees who will also be a representation of our brand.

We start all employees at our base level of bar-back. Where you are working directly with the bartenders. Learning everything from them before you advance.

Job duties will include making the kava, cleaning the bar, minimal serving of customers, and following directions by the bartender.

Depending on your work performance will determine when you get promoted to bartender.

Bartenders duties also include
Direct interaction with customers and serving customers
Inventory management
Managing a cash draw/register.

We have more positions available in the company at higher levels, as we are growing exponentially. And everyone starts as a barback and moves up from their.

Starting pay for bar-back is $8/hour plus cash tips every night. The cash tips are a percentage of the bartenders tips.

Bartenders make $10/hr plus tips.

Our bartenders normally make $45-65k annually.

Requirements:
2 years of hospitality service experience

ability to lift at least 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time

Experience in working in teams

heavy customer service experience, preferably in a fast paced environment

preferred but not required: experience in social media marketing and restaurant/bar promotions
