Head Chef – Holiday Inn London Luton Airport

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at the Holiday Inn London Luton Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef ready to step into a leadership role within a busy but manageable hotel environment. We’re looking for someone practical, efficient, and capable of maintaining standards without the pressure of a large brigade.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both cooking and team leadership and is looking for a stable position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Prepare and present dishes to a consistent, high standard
  • Support in designing and updating menus in line with the hotel’s brand and guest expectations
  • Supervise and motivate a small kitchen team
  • Train staff on food preparation, hygiene, and allergen awareness
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
  • Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and control food costs
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Work closely with hotel management to improve guest satisfaction and kitchen performance
  • Handle guest feedback related to food and resolve issues professionally

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor ready to step up
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens, and kitchen compliance
  • Good organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure during service
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
