Night Porter

Linton Lodge Oxford is looking for a reliable, motivated Night Porter to join our team. You’ll help keep the hotel running smoothly overnight, ensuring our guests feel welcome, comfortable and safe throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Provide a warm, professional welcome, assisting with late arrivals, early departures and overnight guest enquiries.
✔ Support reception duties, including telephone calls, reservations and payments, following hotel procedures.
✔ Carry out regular security patrols and safety checks, reporting any concerns promptly.
✔ Respond to guest requests and complaints calmly and efficiently, escalating issues when necessary.
✔ Keep reception and public areas clean, tidy and welcoming.
✔ Assist with night audit tasks, overnight paperwork and the night checklist, with training provided.
✔ Help prepare breakfast and meeting areas for the following day.
✔ Follow hotel fire and emergency procedures and provide a clear handover to the morning team.

What We’re Looking For

✅ Previous experience in hospitality, reception or a similar overnight role is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
✅ A dependable, punctual approach and confidence working overnight.
✅ Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
✅ Good attention to detail and basic computer skills.
✅ The ability to work independently, support colleagues and remain calm when unexpected situations arise.
✅ Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
