KE Hotels have brought Marriott's newest hotel brand to Manchester, transforming a former hat factory in the city's vibrant Spinningfields district. Moxy is designed to capture the rapidly emerging next-generation traveller combining stylish design, approachable service, latest technology and an affordable price.

 

Job Profile:

We’re looking for adaptable problem solver who takes initiative to ensure guests have a great experience & can work well in a fast-paced service role, all while bringing the Moxy brand to life creating a fun & relaxed environment that makes guests (& their dogs!) feel at home.

 Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Take over call handling from reception and deal with any late-night guest queries and check in any late arrivals.
  • Look after hotel security and guest welfare at night, maintaining the upmost courtesy and politeness to guests.
  • Conduct regular floor walks and security checks of fire exits and public areas.
  • Carry out regular nightly checks and cleaning duties.
  • Be aware of weekly business in the hotel & maximise every sales opportunity for food, beverage, and rooms.
  • Have full knowledge and be able to act upon the fire procedures as laid down in the Hotel Fire Plan.
  • Take over the bar as things get quiet and serve late drinks.
  • To ensure the smooth operation of the hotel throughout the night period, ensuring customer service levels are always exceeded.
  • Creating positive guest experiences to promote & support the Moxy brand
  • Follow all food safety, licensing and health & safety policies to work safely.

 The successful candidate will be organised, punctual and efficient. You will also have excellent communication skills with both colleagues and with customers.

Useful Experience

  • Knowledge of a property management system such as Opera
  • Knowledge of Point of sales systems such as Micros
  • Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
  • Personal experience of travel & travel industry
