Bookkeeper

This is a part time position.

Bookkeeper with restaurant experience responsible for the operational accounting. The bookkeeper will act as the point of financial controls for the restaurants and handle sales, labor, inventory, and cash duties as well as reporting.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Primary duties include general ledger, Bank reconciliations.
2. Verifying credit card settlement, labor tracking, and sales recording by restaurants and POS system.
3. Preparing daily flash reports of sales, labor, and invoices.
4. Preparing daily sales journals.
5. Reconciling petty cash and receipts from restaurants.
6. Preparing various operational accounting schedules including tip reports, petty cash, and receiving reports.
7. Coordinating new hire payroll information and preparing weekly payroll grid for processing.
8. Coordinating chargeback retrieval requests.
9. Reviewing invoice grids for A/P.
10. Preparing reconciliations of sales, payroll, petty cash, and credit card activity.


Ideal candidate must possess:
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and must have:
At least 2 years of experience in restaurant bookkeeping or accounting.
Strong excel and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate.
Must be computer literate with strong excel skills. Restaurant bookkeeping experience is preferred.
Computer software experience: Quick Books, Mas 90, Restaurant 365

This position prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, GL accounts and other financial reports. Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
* Expert knowledge of sales tax
* Ability to establish credit lines for new and existing customer base
