Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and reliable Freelance Bar Supervisor to join our team. As a Bar Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the bar across various KERB events and locations. Your leadership and expertise will be key in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience, all while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency.

You’ll work closely with our front-of-house teams and event managers to maintain smooth operations, making sure the bar runs like a well-oiled machine. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in a variety of settings, from our street food markets to bespoke corporate events, all while contributing to KERB’s mission of bringing people together through great food and drink.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the bar, ensuring efficient and high-quality service at all times
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of bartenders and front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and energetic work environment
  • Ensure all drinks are prepared and served to the highest standards, adhering to KERB’s brand and customer service guidelines
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, complying with health and safety regulations
  • Handle cash and till operations, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of takings
  • Provide excellent customer service, including engaging with guests, handling inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional manner
  • Work with event managers and other teams to execute event-specific requirements and ensure seamless coordination
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of seasonal drinks menus or promotions
  • Ensure bar equipment is regularly cleaned and maintained
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to the team

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in bar supervision or bartending within a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences
  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation, drink recipes, and bar operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, stay calm, and think on your feet
  • Experience in managing stock levels and handling cash/till operations
  • Flexible and adaptable to working various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A genuine love for great food and drink, with an understanding of KERB’s mission and values
