Role Description

As part of our brilliant Barista team, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to be part of the newly established coffee counter at Seven Dials Market by KERB, our 25,000 sq ft food hall in Covent Garden. Reporting directly to the Barista Supervisor, you’ll be instrumental in creating exceptional guest experiences for over 40,000 weekly visitors, ensuring every cup of coffee is served with warmth and care.

This isn’t just any coffee stand, as part of KERB, an impact-driven business dedicated to supporting independent entrepreneurs and sustainable practices, the newly created coffee counter will challenge the status quo with a 100% disposable-free approach. Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Barista Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the coffee counter, ensuring smooth operations whilst providing exceptional hospitality. Ensuring every cup of tea and coffee is served exceptionally.
  • Supporting the Barista Supervisor in ensuring the coffee stand operates in line with KERB's sustainability goals and commitments, with a focus on a 100% disposable-free approach, and contributing ideas for further reducing environmental impact.
  • Working collaboratively within a team to ensure the coffee stand is always fully equipped to meet demand while minimising waste.
  • Maintain high standards in coffee preparation, presentation, and taste, ensuring consistency and attention to detail with every order.

Requirements and skills

Essential

  • Proven experience working as a Barista, with a solid understanding of coffee preparation techniques, equipment, and the ability to consistently deliver brilliant drinks.
  • A genuine passion for exceptional hospitality, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team to deliver smooth, efficient day-to-day operations.

Desired but not essential

  • Familiarity with Lightspeed (our current EPOS system).
  • Experience working within a concession or third-party operated stand, ensuring smooth and independent operations.
  • Background in working with an impact-driven business or experience supporting sustainability initiatives.
