Description

Welcome to KFC.

Take one man with a big idea, add 11 herbs and spices, grit, ambition, and buckets of heart – you’ve got KFC.

Since 1939, we’ve been bringing finger lickin’ good chicken to the world, and today we’re proud to be in over 1000 communities across the UK & Ireland. But without our people, none of it would be possible. Just like our recipe, they’re all original.

Join us. Bring it. And together, we can be part of something truly extraordinary.

Bringing it to the role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join team KFC as the Construction Project Coordinator inside the Development Department. The Development Department consists of 24 people, including seven people in the Construction team. We have a passionate appetite to modernise our restaurant estate through both new store openings, and high quality remodels of our existing restaurants. This role will be a critical part of the Construction team, and will have responsibility for coordinating the remodel and new store opening programme across our estate, in both our company owned and franchised restaurants.

What you’ll do

  • Manage administration of “plans committee” process, liaising with cross functional teams (e.g. Restaurant Excellence/Health & Safety, Operations) to design restaurants to optimise sales and deliver brand standards.
  • Building franchise relationships – daily contact with our franchisees through partnerships and their building consultants to track remodel status through to completion
  • Visit completed remodels to assess completed projects compliance and help develop catalogue of store condition
  • Develop the equity remodel programme each year, coordinating with key cross functional stakeholders
  • Manage the construction programme tracker, working closely with the six construction managers to track progress, and communicate any changes to impacted cross-functional teams (e.g. the Ops team)
  • Management of our supply chain to ensure all products and services are available – communicating to multiple functions
  • Responsible for model changes
  • Provide monthly reports on project statuses for internal business communications
  • Working with Construction Managers to update & manage processes and practices to ensure maximum efficiency

What we’d love from you

About You

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally and across all levels. This will also entail franchisees and suppliers
  • Strong communicator and ability to build relationships cross-functionally
  • Be passionate and curious about construction processes, the business and our restaurants and seek new learnings
  • Personal efficiency, organisation, time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key
  • Be process and goal orientated

Experience

  • Computer literacy and Excel familiarity
  • Passion for KFC, knowledge of QSR or Construction
  • No prior “property experience” necessary but interest in construction management would be ideal

Be Original.

At KFC, everyone gets a seat at our table. Since we landed in the UK in 1965, we’ve fed our people’s potential – to be their best selves, make a difference and have fun.
