Description

Welcome to KFC.

Take one man with a big idea, add 11 herbs and spices, grit, ambition, and buckets of heart – you’ve got KFC.

Since 1939, we’ve been bringing finger lickin’ good chicken to the world, and today we’re proud to be in over 1000 communities across the UK & Ireland. But without our people, none of it would be possible. Just like our recipe, they’re all original.

Join us. Bring it. And together, we can be part of something truly extraordinary.

Bringing it to the role.

The Construction Team are looking for an Associate Quantity Surveyor / Construction Project Manager to be responsible for developing cost documents, value engineering & project managing new restaurants and extending/refurbishing existing sites for KFC equity and to partner & guide third party franchise businesses. The role also has potential for growth with ad hoc & roll-out projects on the equity estate as they arise.

You will work as part of the innovative Design and Construction team, where we shape what our actual restaurants look and feel like. The designs we produce in the UK are exported around the world and we are always innovating and looking for new creative design and construction ideas. We meet quarterly to brainstorm and reconnect. There is always something new and exciting happening in the team through innovation concepts, new décor rollouts or sustainability/Net 0 development etc.

You will receive regular 1-2-1 support and will have the room to grow and shape your role in a way that suits you.

What you’ll do

  • Provide Cost reporting, forecasting and contract budget reports
  • Ensure accurate and effective cost control is maintained.
  • Manage model cost documents updating on a live basis
  • To work closely with the multiple cross functional teams and third-party consultants to develop and build equity new stores & remodels.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports.
  • Appoint, liaise and manage external consultants and contractors to complete the programme.
  • Measure and report on performance of all contractors and consultants.
  • To take and develop the brief, obtain tenders, manage the works on site to budget and a high standard to ensure the solutions are achieved.
  • Prepare budgets, obtain approvals, manage and control costs.
  • To implement design, equipment layouts and brand standards.
  • Work with the Franchisees to ensure they adhere to brand standards and the Global Franchise Partnership – combine agreement for the new build and refurbishment programme.
  • Ensure all necessary consents are obtained for works, including planning, Building Control, Landlords, etc.

What we’d love from you
