Job Summary
The Sales, Events & Reservations Manager is responsible for driving revenue by managing the sales, events, and reservations functions of the business. This role focuses on securing and coordinating events, optimizing room reservations, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and client outreach.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to increase repeat business.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and pricing to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director, Group Food & Beverage Director to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Events Management
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring they meet client expectations and business objectives.
- Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Manage event budgets, contracts, and timelines to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to deliver seamless events.
- Evaluate event performance and gather client feedback to improve future offerings.
Reservations Management
- Oversee the reservations process, ensuring optimal occupancy and revenue generation.
- Manage group reservations, room blocks, and special requests.
- Monitor and analyse booking trends to adjust pricing strategies and availability.
- Ensure the reservation system is updated with accurate information regarding rates, availability, and restrictions.
- Train and support the reservations team to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue growth in sales, events, and reservations.
- Client satisfaction and retention rates.
- Event profitability and operational efficiency.
- Reservation system accuracy and occupancy rates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, event management, or reservations within the hospitality or events industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in reservation and event management systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, Cvent, Open Table).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
